Utility

Never. Bonk. Again.

Glucalast uses continuous glucose monitoring and heart rate data to inform athletes how to fuel during ultra-endurance racing.

Problem

You’re Not Slowing Down—You’re Running Out of Fuel

In ultra-endurance racing, athletes are eating more than ever before. The more you eat, the better you can perform. But both underfueling and overfueling can ruin a race. Eating too little leads to energy depletion, while eating too much results in gastrointestinal distress. Glucalast solves this by using physiological data to guide fueling in real time, helping athletes perform optimally.

Functionality

How it works:

Glucalast integrates continuous glucose monitoring and heart rate data to guide your nutrition timing and volume during training and racing.

CGM utilization. Glucalast utilizes third-party over-the-counter continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) to inform and improve fueling recommendations.

Heart rate integration. Heart Rate data is essential to making accurate metabolic predictions - whether you're in zone 2 or zone 4.
Glucalast health dashboard displaying glucose levels, performance graphs, activity statistics, and predictive fueling guidance.
Personalized guidance. Machine-Learning recommendations based on your unique metabolic needs. The longer you use Glucalast, the better it will predict fueling timing/volume.

Jared Poliskey - Medical Student, Athlete

Founder

In 2024, Jared bonked on a long run in the Grand Canyon despite following a fueling plan. This experience exposed a broader problem: fueling is imprecise and prone to error. As a medical student with a degree in biochemistry, Jared realized this problem could be addressed using existing wearable technology.

Coming soon.

First 100 have the chance to get a free glucose monitor + beta access. Limited spots.
